Foundations
Mr. Kristin L. Miller has served as the Director of Music at Northridge Baptist Church since 2006, having previously served as Director of Music at First Baptist Church of Gordon, Georgia.  Kristin has been involved in music since adolescence, learning to play several band instruments and serving as high school drum major.  Following graduation from Jones County HS in 1995, Kristin studied music at Mercer University, graduating summa cum laude with a BA in Music and BME in Music Education in 1999.  Kristin continued graduate studies at the University of Georgia, earning a Master’s in Music Education (2002) and Specialist’s Degree in Education with a concentration in music (2003).  He will soon begin dissertation work to complete the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree (DMA) from Boston University.

Kristin entered the professional world of music education in 1998, serving as the Director of Bands at Tattnall Square Academy in Macon.  Since that time he has served as Director/Assistant Director of Bands in Camden County, Monroe County, and Houston County.  He has also taught mathematics in Bibb County, Houston County, and Pulaski County.

Family
Kristin is very blessed to be married to his high school sweetheart and former fellow NBC Youth Group member, Wendy Ann McInnis.  They have been married since July, 1998.  They have been blessed with two wonderful children:  Jack, age 6 and Anna Grace, age 3.  They are expecting a third child to arrive at the end of June.  

Faith
Brother Kristin joined Northridge in 1983, upon his profession of faith in Jesus Christ.  Since that time, he has enjoyed serving the Lord and helping others serve the Lord through His wonderful gift of music.  There are three bible verses at the heart of Kristin’s music service. 

~ Psalm 98:4 – “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth:  make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise”. 

~ Psalm 150:6 – “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.  Praise ye the Lord”. 

~ Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
